It's a boy!

Hi friends, we made the trip to AZ a week earlier than expected to welcome our newest member. Sorry we didn't make it to see those of you that are Arizonians. Went to church w/Anthony, Ella Joy and Bennett while momma and Mason slept at home. A quick, but most happy trip. And BTW... EJ and Bennett are just too much fun... their vocabularies and personalities and passion for living is a hoot! Below are Steph's words and if you can take the time to go to their blog, you'll be in for a treat. More of Mason to come in time but Stephanie's talent for writing is evident and her great sense of what's of value is a blessing and delight to my heart. You can access previous posts as time allows you. Their home is truly one of FUN! And now we have the multiplication factor kicking in... oh boy! (Anthony reminds me of "Mrs. Doubtfire"... not quite to that extream, but the similarities are clear... he wants his home to be one of FUN.... along w/warmth and respect. Fortunately, he chose well when he married Stephanie and a happy home is the result.)

He arrived in perfect condition, 5 lbs 10 oz. and 18" long. I'm not sure of the exact time but it was around 1:00pm.

There was a change of plans in the birth as the delivery was near, Mason's heart rate was in distress and a C-section was ordered. Stephanie was awake during the delivery which only took minutes. He was all tangled up by the umbilical cord which prohibited him from moving down the birth canal causing his heart rate to decelerate. The end result, one perfect baby boy and two very happy parents.

The proud Nana says "He is perfect in every way."

Stephanie's parents brought Ella and Bennett to the hospital to see their new baby and they both got to hold him. I can't wait to see the pictures. Anthony said that Bennett was excited to see his new baby brother but not as excited as Ella was. I talked to her on the phone and I have never heard her talk so much with so much excitement. Stephanie is experiencing the effects of the surgery and the drugs but I know that will fade away soon. She is one happy Mama!

Nancy and Tony drove to Arizona this morning when the news came and will stay with Ella and Bennett while Anthony is with his wife and new son.

CONGRATULATIONS to Anthony and Stephanie, Ella and Bennett.
We praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Love to all of you,
Mama/Mom/Jeanne/Aunt Jeanne/Aunt DeDe
